What we do
New commercial systems, projects and process implementation in a frenetic, ever-changing restaurant environment are always a challenge. With operational priorities geared naturally to customer service and incoming revenue, well-intentioned development can sometimes be an unwelcome distraction when faced with limited internal resource.
The Diner Miner was created to address this gap by working closely with the systems suppliers and aiding the restaurant operators to seamlessly set up and manage their systems roll-outs and reporting. Our background and experience
The Diner Miner's Founder/Director
Simon Waine has over 25 years in the restaurant industry for leading brands such as PizzaExpress, Wagamama, Gourmet Burger Kichen, The Real Greek, Tootsies and The Bombay Bicycle Club.
Earlier roles encompassed every facet of a restaurant accounting environment before a move into commercial systems and business intelligence. This has meant working directly with the owners in independent restaurants through to the marketing, finance, IT, property, food development and HR teams of larger business implementations. This has provided unique and valuable insight into the issues experienced by both operators and the back-office administrators in new systems development and for methods to address and resolve them.

- Implementation and roll-out of Fourth FNB Manager stock solution into all sites including:
- Systemised supplier ordering for all food and drink suppliers
- Implementation of EDI invoicing to fully automate food and drink invoice postings into accounts system
- Variance analysis to monitor recorded/unrecorded wastage, stock levels, actual and theoretical cost of sales throughout the estate
